A Fresh Beginning

Time to start posting again - and I'm excited. I have to admit I enjoyed the break...especially time away from the computer but that was not my real reason for a break. Not sure all of my reasons...or goals...have been accomplished but it is time to press on:) I will say one of my big struggles, at least right now, is time management. I suppose most folks feel they don't have enough time in their day. For me, I have the time - sometimes TOO much time on my hands - but I just don't seem to use it productively....and the way that God would have me to do. I would LOVE any tips/ideas/suggestions for help in this area. That is certainly one thing, among many, that I enjoy about blogging. There is much wisdom and very practical advice among my blogging friends. So, do share:) During the month of March: ** two of my very best friends celebrated birthdays - I am so thankful for the gift of life-long friends. God blesses us with all kinds of friends and each one is a gift; however, there are truly only a rare few that last a lifetime. I have several of these friends and I know am beyond blessed to have them in my life. ** I attended a really nice ladies' seminar at a nearby church. What a nice day that was - and the topic....Finding God's purpose in your life. Now there is a subject I think I could study and digest for hours. What about you? How do you seek His purpose in your life? **We have been really digging into the book of Matthew during my weekly Bible study. This study has been so much more than I even anticipated and I so look forward to Tuesday mornings.....and JOY in the mornings! **I went car shopping - and bought - a car with my daughter. (Uh, she bought the car!) That is always an experience....and one that I really do not enjoy but it was a great learning experience for her. Well, for both of us. **God has answered several prayers this month. He also has us waiting....and waiting still...for several major requests. I am trying to learn - and learn much - during this season of waiting but, I have to admit, it is not easy. What is it about waiting that is such a challenge?? I suppose the rest of March was filled with the routine:) And routine can be a good thing. And, now on with April. I always love a new week....a new month....and a new season, even!! Today is supposed to be spring!! Hope you have a wonderful Monday as well. Thanks for stopping by, friends.

  4. Great to see you back, Jennifer. Very good post. I recently started using a free customizable daily docket that is on the moneysavingmom.com website that is helping me to focus. Perhaps you might find it useful.

  5. Good Morning! I am soo glad you are back, I have TRULY missed you. I have thought about taking a break myself. I am glad that you feel renewed. Sounds like you had a great month. Lifelong friends are wonderful, really such a blessing. I have a couple myself. How I appreciate them. As for God's purpose in my life I find it ever changing in some ways, and always the same in others. Do you know what I mean? I guess I always feel He would have me just show His love to as many as I get the opportunity to, and yet this season in my life leaves me feeling like I should be doing sooo much more for Him. As for managing my time...I have too much of it on my hands most of the time and feel like I have to be careful not to be wasteful of it. And yet the Lord has also been showing me (in various small ways) that it is OK to just "BE"...to enjoy what He has blessed me with in this season of my life and that I don't always have to be "DOING" something....I guess I feel like it will change once I finally do my knees and can get around better, and in the meantime I look for what He is trying to teach me while I am still. Hope this all makes sense. Welcome back...Have a wonderful day. HUGS

  6. Glad that you are back and loved reading your thoughts of pressing on. This is the second post I've read today about time management. Last week, I realized that too many days were passing with not enough being accomplished. I'm still trying to find something that works for me, but this is a big issue for me as well. Hope that your week goes great!

  7. Hi Jen,
It is hard to make the most of your time. It takes a lot of organization and coordinating. I'm very goal oriented and that helps me. I also am a list maker.
I'm a thinker and a doer. It's my personality. It can drive my hubby crazy at times. lol But then he again he is very thankful that I have thoughtout or remember the details that he might not. We complement each other.
I also multi-task. I'm doing two things as I type this right now.
I hope this hasn't overwhelmed you.
    Have a great week!

  8. Welcome back! I have been reading blogs recently, but have not posted in about a month. I have just been so busy with work, my parents and being out of town on the weekends this past month. Not enough hours in the day. Speaking of time management.... I can't seem to get caught up. Is that possible? My to do list is always a block long!!! I need God in my life...reading his word, Bible study, Christian girlfriends, church, etc.
Despite some hardships in my life the past 7 years, God has truly blessed my life! I sure have missed you!! Love & blessings from NC!
