August 1st - Four Years.....

Tonight I Hold This Candle
lyrics by Alan Pederman

Tonight I hold this candle
In memory of you
Hoping someway, somehow, my love will shine through.
I close my eyes lost in the glow
There are so many things I want you to know.

This candle says I love you -
This candle says I miss you.
This candle is saying I remember you.
When I'm holding it toward heaven,
It feels like you are near.
If you're looking down tonight,
And see this candle burning bright,
It says I'm wishing you were here.

In the glow of this candle
I can almost see your smile
And it carries me away for a little while
To another time, another place
When all it took to light up my world was your beautiful face.

This candle says I love you -
This candle says I miss you.
This candle is saying I remember you.
When I'm holding it toward heaven,
It feels like you are near.I
f you're looking down tonight,
And see this candle burning bright,
It says I'm wishing you were here.

I love you, Tyler

  3. Jennifer, I am praying for you today and wish I was there to give you a great big hug! I'm so glad that Jordan is home to be with you. He will be a great comfort to you. And I know Tyler is there in spirit. I had not heard the poem you posted, but it is beautiful. I am adding it to my quote book. Have as nice of a day as you can, despite the circumstances. Just think, Tyler is rejoicing in heaven with Jesus and you will see him again some day. I hope that brings you some comfort. Love & blessings from NC!

  6. Oh Jennifer, I wish I was there with you today to give you a big hug. I'd love to sit with you and hear all the stories you could no doubt share about your precious Tyler. I am soo glad Jordan is home and can be with you today. What a comfort I am sure that is. I do pray that the Lord will wrap His arms around you today and you will feel them in a very real way. May He bring you the comfort and peace that passes all understanding. May your heart rejoice in knowing you will see Tyler again, and what a reunion that will be. Much love coming your way....HUGS, Debbie

  13. i often wondered if losses are known to god why would he allow the loss to be knowing it will mean pain. but, i discovered that, perhaps its not about loss but instead about gain. you gained love. good luck.

  15. I saw your comment over at Becky's blog and wanted to stop by to say hello. Your Tyler sounds like quite the charming young man. Praise the Lord for His faithfulness and eternal life through Jesus Christ. I can't wait to see our boys again!
